- You are correct I am a retired Tel Guy that worked on T1 Cxr and
- a 5ESS Digital Switched you may already know this but T1 CXR 1.544Mhgz
- and 24 channels sample each channel at (as you indicated 8000 times per sec)
-
- Then all (POTS) Plane old Telephones have a copper wire hooked up
- to them and in the US we use Loading Coils to balance out the Frequency
- loss. unless it is ISDN then no Loading coils and it is digital.
-
- Usually it is 24H88 (24=gauge of wire) and the 88
- (well this is the AC/DC resistance of the CKT to be equalized) the first
- 2000 feet out of the office then something like every 1000 ft
- this give us a good Loss curve from 300 to 3300Htz about.
- no more than -6 db at most
-
- The noise reading on a good line is something like 31db.
- as I have heard if you get 39db you are doing supper good.
-
- Oh on T1 Cxr it works or it dose"t, What I mean is that it complete
- falls and there is nothing.
- - 12
- We could also get into 10' one error allowed on the T1 system per
- that many digital pulses (what billion or trillion whatever) and that
- is not bandwith
